About the Embassy
Iceland established a Permanent Mission to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in the year 1999 and two years later (2001) the Embassy of Iceland in Vienna was opened.
Today the Embassy represents Iceland in Austria and is also accredited to the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The Embassy is furthermore a Permanent Mission to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), The United Nations Offices in Vienna (UNOV), The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Preparatory Commission to the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty Organisation, all of which are located in Vienna.
You can locate us in Vienna´s 1st district on Naglergasse 2/8. The nearest metro stations are Herrengasse (U3) and Stephansplatz (U1 and U3) and you can print out a map with our location here.
