Exhibition in Luxembourg
The Icelandic artists Katrin Fridriks and Gudrun Benedikta Eliasdottir opened an exhibition in Fortis bank building in the center of Luxembourg on 2 July. Stefan Haukur Johannesson, ambassador, adressed guests at the opening. The exhibition will be open for several weeks. Katrin is born in 1974, in Luxembourg and has worked both in Europe and in the USA. Gudrun Benedikta was born in 1963 in Iceland and has mainly worked in Iceland and Europe. The theme of the exhibition is “Decoding Iceland”, and refers to the Icelandic nature, it´s power and the particularity of each area and its inhabitants.
