Potentials of geothermal energy discussed in Brussels
The potentials of using geothermal energy as a renewable energy source were discussed for the first time in Brussels at an event organised by the Minister of Industry in Iceland at the invitation of Andris Piebalgs, Commissioner for Energy.
The Minister invited the EU for further cooperation regarding further research of the possibilities in utilising geothermal energy in Europe and suggested that Iceland and the EU would further cooperate in increasing geothermal energy use i.a. in East Africa and South America
