11.11.2008 : Íslensk menning kynnt á Indlandi

Sendiráð Íslands á Indlandi stendur þessar vikurnar fyrir íslenskri menningardagskrá í Nýju Dehlí þar sem áhersla er lögð á að kynna íslenskar kvikmyndir, bókmenntahefð og ljósmyndir. Dagskráin hófst með opnun kvikmyndahátíðar þann 3. nóvember, en alls eru sýndar 12 íslenskar kvikmyndir í samvinnu við India International Centre og India Habitat Centre, tveimur af þekktum menningarstofnunum borgarinnar.

Due to the special circumstances on the Icelandic financial markets the Government of Icelandic has decided to open an information center for the public, businesses and the media, both in Iceland and abroad. The purpose of the center is to receive enquiries by telephone or email, addressed to the Icelandic authorities regarding the current circumstances.

13.10.2008 : Iceland's Economic Climate

Over the past two weeks, economic developments took a sharp turn for the worse in Iceland. The country’s three main commercial banks, Glitnir, Landsbanki and Kaupthing, collapsed owing to the financial storm now raging in international markets and the government has resorted to exceptional measures to stabilize the situation.

13.5.2008 : Letters of Credentials presented in Nepal and Maldives

On April 30, 2008, the  Ambassador presented his credentials to the Prime Minister of Nepal, H.E. Mr. G. P. Koirala, as the Ambassador of Iceland to Nepal, residing in New Delhi.
