"Wound" in Earth´s crust south of Iceland
The Geologists believe that it is not dangerous as it is on the ocean floor and seems to be a natural phenomenon and not caused by humans. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge passes through Iceland which causes volcanic activity. This Ridge also separates North American Plate from the Eurasian Plate in the North Atlantic.
