Icelandic Idependace Day Celebration
The Icelandic Association of Washington, D.C. and the Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Ólafur Sigurðsson and his wife Mrs. Svala Guðmundsdóttir will celebrate June 17th, Icelandic Independence Day on Saturday, June 14th.

Mother's Day Report Card: The Best and Worst Countries to Be a Mother
Save the Children, a U.S.-based independent global humanitarian organization, released its ninth annual Mothers' Index that ranks the best — and worst — places to be a mother and a child. Iceland tops the list in third place this year, Sweden being in first place and Norway in second and United States is in 27th place
