The Iceland Dance Company performs in New Bedford, Massachusetts
The Iceland Dance Company will give its first performance in the United States on Saturday, October 27, at the Zeiterion Theater in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The critically acclaimed Iceland Dance company has since 1996, under the artistic direction of Katrín Hall, focused on an exclusively modern and contemporary repertoire, commissioning and nurturing Icelandic choreographers as well as those from Scandinavia and throughout Europe. While this is the Company’s first performance in the US, it has performed in major international dance theaters and festivals worldwide including the Holland Dance Festival, the Gothenberg Theatre and Dance Festival in Sweden, the Basel Theater Festival in Switzerland, and Harbourfront in Toronto, as well as important performances in Beirut, Prague, Copenhagen, Brussels, Glasgow, Geneva, Vienna, and Berlin.
