Farewell bid to Counsellor at the Embassy in Pretoria
Mikael Magnusson Counsellor has retired from the Embassy of Iceland in Pretoria. On 29 August the Ambassador hosted a farewell reception for Mikael attended by his closest colleagues from various embassies and ministries in Pretoria. The Ambassador gave thanks to Mikael for his work contributions for the embassy and wished him and his wife Alice Mackay all the best for the future. The couple were presented with gifts for the occasion. The attended guests were also introduced to Mikael’s successor, Yr Sigurdardottir, Officer, who will deal with the assignments that Mikael has been handling.

Sendiráðunautur Sendiráðsins í Pretoria kvaddur
Mikael Magnússon sendiráðunautur hefur látið af störfum við sendiráð Ísland í Pretoríu. Sendiherra hélt honum kveðjuhóf þann 29. ágúst en þar voru samankomnir helstu starfsfélagar Mikaels frá hinum ýmsu sendiráðum og ráðuneytum í Pretoríu. Sendiherra þakkaði Mikael vel unnin störf fyrir sendiráðið og óskaði honum og konu hans Alice Mackay alls velfarnaðar í framtíðinni. Bárust þeim hjónum ýmsar gjafir af þessu tilefni. Gestir voru jafnframt kynntir fyrir arftaka Mikaels, Ýr Sigurðardóttur fulltrúa, en hún mun starfa að þeim verkefnum sem Mikael hafði á hendi.
