New Ambassador of Iceland to South Africa
On 2 October 2008, Mr Gudmundur Eiriksson presented his Credentials to His Excellency Kgalema Motlanthe, President of the Republic of South Africa, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to the Republic of South Africa.
On this occasion they discussed the good relations between the two countries, the global need to address environmental concerns and further strengthening cooperation of the two countries on the governmental level, notably with regard to the United Nations Security Council.
